Privacy policy

This page explains what personal information FutureOn collects, why we collect it, and your rights. FutureOn (FutureOn Education Ltd, London) is the controller of this information. If you have any questions, email team@futureon.co.uk or message us on WhatsApp on +44 7477 940655.

What we collect

• Enquiries: the name, email address, phone number and message you send through our contact form, email or WhatsApp, and the subject, level and exam board you tell us about.
• Learners: name, year group, subjects, exam board, target and predicted grades, and learning records such as session dates, session reports, homework, quiz and flashcard results, and written answers on study pages.
• Parents and guardians: name, email and phone number, so we can send updates and arrange sessions.
• Educators: name, contact details, subjects taught and the documents needed for safeguarding checks.
• Billing: the sessions delivered and payments due or received. We do not store card details; payments are taken by third-party payment providers.
• Website use: basic analytics about how our website is used (via Google Analytics) and your language choice if you use the translate tool.

Why we use it

We use personal information to answer enquiries, match learners with educators, deliver tutoring, show learners and parents their progress, send session reminders and reports, pay our educators, and keep the accounts the law requires. Our legal bases are performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and improving the service, our legal obligations, and your consent where we ask for it. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

Who sees it

A learner sees their own records. A parent sees their own child's records. An educator sees the learners assigned to them. FutureOn's management can see everything in order to run the service. We use trusted providers to host our website and learner portal and to send email and take payments (including Vercel, Supabase, Google and Resend). They process information on our behalf and only for our purposes.

How long we keep it

Learning records are kept while a learner is with us and for up to two years afterwards, then deleted. Financial records are kept for six years, as UK tax law requires. Enquiries that do not lead to tutoring are deleted within a reasonable period.

Children's information

Many of our learners are under 18. We collect information about them from their parents or guardians and from the learner, and only use it to provide tutoring and support.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you or your child, have it corrected, have it deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or ask for a copy of it in a portable format. Email team@futureon.co.uk and we will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

We may update this page from time to time. The latest version is always at futureon.co.uk/privacy. Last updated: 14 October 2026. The learner portal has its own privacy page at portal.futureon.co.uk/privacy.
